Teams for the 1st and 2nd XI.

The 1st XI is at Bake Mate Senior Oval Marist. They take on Newstead in a 2-day game, which is of vital importance to remain in contact with the top 4 with Newstead one game ahead of the Lions in fourth place. Another 1st XI debut has been given to a junior with Evan Lindsay, being the sixth Under 16 player selected in the top grade this season. Congrats Evan. A key to this game will be the fielding performance without the outfield speed of Connor and Jimmy, so the fielders will need to step up to support the bowlers on the large Marist outfield.

The 2nd XI makes the trip to second placed Newstead with on paper their strongest team of the year. They welcome back the inform batsman of the club Connor Berry and also all-rounder Jimmy Liersch returning from toe surgery. These inclusions should assist the team rebound back. With the inform Robbie Douglas, the experience of Steve Burleigh and Josh Bellenger coming off a superb opening bowling spell in the Under 16 game on Wednesday evening, we believe good things may happen this week.

The 3rd XI are in a strong position in making 321 off their 60 overs against Huntly North. On a quick and smallish ground they will still need to bowl well.
