Codes of Conduct / Policies
Introduction

At Maiden Gully Marist Cricket Club (the Club), cricket is more than a game—it is a means for enjoyment, personal development, and community connection. This Code of Conduct sets out clear expectations for behaviour, helping to create a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for everyone involved.

The Code applies not only to Club training sessions, matches and events, but also to interactions referencing the Club between members in private settings, at other events, and online. While not all relationships will be without disagreement, members are expected to treat each other with mutual respect.

Where issues arise, members are encouraged to first address them privately and directly with the individual concerned. If this is not possible or if the issue remains unresolved, the matter should be referred to the Committee or a delegated representative. All concerns will be managed in accordance with the Club’s Constitution.

Breaches of the Code may lead to disciplinary action. Individuals may be asked to appear before the Committee and justify their conduct.
The Code of Conduct is divided into role-specific sections. Members may fall under multiple categories depending on their involvement:

-
Administrators / Committee Code of Conduct
-
Coaches / Captains Code of Conduct
-
Umpires Code of Conduct (when a club member has that role at a game)
-
Parents / Guardians Code of Conduct
-
Players Code of Conduct
-
Spectators Code of Conduct
-
Social Media / Digital Code of Conduct
